Ji Yeon Shin is a violinist and music educator with extensive experience in performance and teaching. Her interest in Baroque performance developed through graduate studies at Penn State University and The Hartt School, where she participated in Baroque ensembles under Robert Nairn, Emlyn Ngai, and Kenneth Nott. During her doctoral studies at the University of Oregon, she pursued more focused study of Baroque ensemble performance, violin research, and pedagogy with Marc Vanscheeuwijck and Peggy Gries. Dr. Shin currently performs and teaches throughout Southern California, working with young musicians in both private and school settings.
